Here’s where I get to say, “I was right, after all!”
At the end of the book I express my belief that just about everybody has or has had at least one mystical interlude.
With few exceptions, people who have contacted me after reading the stories have related at least one mystical event of their own. In fact, one of my dear friends had a goose-bump experience while he was reading!
Ron was at a bed and breakfast in a rural Pennsylvania town, which bordered his biking trail. Shortly after Sunday morning breakfast he sat on the front porch and continued reading the chapter, “Near Death Experience.” Just as he came to the description of the amazing Light beyond the open door of the train, the sun slid from behind a cloud and beamed its brilliant light onto the porch, spreading upward along his outstretched legs until my friend felt blinded by its intensity. In that moment of synchronicity, carillon chimes from a nearby church broke the stillness, ringing forth a melodious sacred hymn, which Ron recognized as “Beautiful Savior,” recalling the last line of the first verse: “Light of my soul, my joy, my crown.”
Ron considers this unforgettable experience a mystical interlude. So do I. It’s all in the timing!

I delight in picking up the book again and again, re-reading favorite selections. And I truly enjoyed exploring the website. Well done, Arter Emily!
