December was quite a full month! Amidst grief caused by the deaths of two family members and usual holiday chaos in December, I experienced my first radio interview, my first library event, and my first live reading of selections at a private book club dinner meeting. The year ended on a happy note as Jim and I brought in 2017 at a party with neighborhood friends.
I owe Caroline Chang, host of Awake2Oneness Radio, much gratitude for her gentle spirit and positive support as I struggled to find my voice during her December 9th podcast interview. Caroline is not only patient, she also exudes love and is generous with her praise. Thank you, Caroline, for providing the opportunity for my first radio engagement!
The December 13th book talk at Peter’s Township Library promised a minimum of 31 pre-registered and intended attendees; but, alas, the weather decided to jinx us that evening! As the temperature dropped, continuous, freezing snow coated streets and sidewalks. Eleven brave hearts were present for my first library event, and I am grateful for their rapt attention and positive responses. When I left the library that night, the weather was chilling, but my heart was overflowing with warmth! The library is scheduling a follow-up event in May 2017 for all who couldn’t join us in December.
On December 14th, I was with old friends and colleagues at the McGuffey Page Turners book club. The elegant dinner meeting, held at the Union Grill in Washington PA, provided the perfect setting for reading and intimate discussion. As we sat around the long table, my friends shared their own amazing mystical interludes with me, some of which will appear in Mystical Interludes II. Thank you, McGuffey Pageturners, for a beautiful and unforgettable evening!
Currently I am at work on the sequel. Perhaps you’ll share a story with me for potential publication in Mystical Interludes II. Happy New Year!
