Why Tell the World about Our Extraordinary Experiences?

Author Emily Rodavich

Readers are sending their stories for my next book, Mystical Interludes II: Ordinary People’s Extraordinary Experiences. I’m thrilled and excited to receive them. I am also preparing for my December 9th Awake2Oneness radio conversation with Caroline Chang, where I’ll be to sharing details about the writing of Mystical Interludes and this next book project. Inevitably many of these questions that I am frequently asked:

  • What are mystical interludes?
  • What’s their origin?
  • What are some ways in which mystical interludes happen in the lives of ordinary people?
  • Why do they happen?
  • Why are they not talked about?

After remaining silent for most of my years, I am committed to doing my small part to abet societal acceptance and encourage others to awaken. I believe that by publishing the mystical experiences of others I can help elevate human consciousness, thereby increasing our potential to live happier, more productive lives.

Why Tell the World about Our Extraordinary Experiences, such as Near-Death Experiences (NDEs)?

And here is a transcript of the above video:

[When I was growing up], I wasn’t free to talk about these experiences, let alone invite others to share theirs with me. But today, those social limitations have diminished. Thank God!

Since the book came out, just about everybody I’ve talked to has told me about at least one mystical interlude that they’ve had. This bolsters my belief that everybody has mystical interludes—whether they recognize it or not. And this is what I think: I think some people become frightened and close themselves off so there is never a reoccurrence. I think that some people refuse to acknowledge spiritual intimations out of a strong sense of practicality, or maybe because of religious taboos. Some just chalk it up to an overactive imagination, thereby missing out on gaining valuable insights.

Maybe the world would be a better place by [our] acknowledging and sharing experiences openly rather than suppressing them or pretending they never happened.

I’m dedicated to collecting and writing about the mystical interludes of others—and that includes all of you. Not because I’m trying to be another Dr. Raymond Moody, but for the purpose of doing my small part in bringing these significant, life-changing events out of shadow and into the light of day.

My conviction is that sharing our mystical interludes gives us an opportunity to expand human potential to enrich and enlarge our lives in this world.

Thank you, thank you.
